Purpose of Visit
Pupils can now re-live Singapore's history in an interesting and multi-faceted way on Sentosa. This resort island was once a military backwater, serving an important role in the coastal defense of Singapore. Through remnants of the yester war years, which still dot the island, and life-like interactive exhibits at Images of Singapore and Fort Siloso, pupils will gain insights into the history and heritage of Singapore from the early 14th century to the present day.

The Institution
Sentosa Development Corporation was formed in 1972 to develop, manage and promote the island into a premier holiday destination for local visitors and tourists. Sentosa is Singapore's top tourist destination, welcoming over four million visitors
yearly.

In developing Sentosa, the Corporation conscientiously ensures that the island remains a stimulating and interactive environment for learning beyond the classroom. From open spaces outdoors to historical and cultural attractions, schools can combine lessons with learning excursions to the island according to the different needs of each class trip.
