SCDF comprises its Headquarters, the Fire Safety and Shelter Department, a Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART), four civil defence divisions and 14 fire stations. Its major peacetime role is to provide emergency services, namely fire-fighting, rescue and ambulance services.
