NEWater Visitor Centre
NEWater is a Singapore success story. Introduced in Singapore in 2002, it is the pride of Singaporeans and a pillar of Singapore's water sustainability. As part of PUB’s public education effort, the NEWater Visitor Centre is established to reach out to the community and schools. Located in the Simei vicinity, it has drawn both local and foreign visitors and was named Best Sightseeing / Leisure/Educational Programme at the 2005 Singapore Tourism Awards.
The NEWater Visitor Centre with its splashing new look promises visitors an even greater time. Expect more fun-filled activities and interactive exhibits to take you on an exciting journey through Singapore’s water story.

Marina Barrage
Built across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. The Marina Barrage is the result of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s vision nearly two decades ago when he envisaged damming the mouth of the Marina Channel to create a freshwater reservoir.
Besides eco-friendly features like the Solar Park and Green Roof, revel in views of the city skyline from Marina Bridge and admire works by noted artists on the Arts Trail. Witness Singapore’s environmental sustainability efforts and discover how the barrage ingeniously prevents flooding to the city’s low-lying areas at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery.
