  • To promote a greater understanding of the true teachings of Islam;

  • To promote inter-faith dialogue and engagement at all levels: leadership, community, grassroots, youths and students; through seminars, workshops, experiential learning journeys, visits etc and
    • To strengthen the social bonding amongst the different faith communities so as to build a more cohesive and resilient society which will be able to respond more rationally and maturely in the face of potential crisis.

    Learning Site
    The Harmony Centre @ An-Nahdhah was opened by Prime Mininster Lee Hsien Loong on the 7th October 2006.

    Housed in An-Nahdhah Mosque, it symbolises one of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore’s (Muis) efforts to engender a greater understanding of Islam and Muslims amongst the multi-racial population of Singapore.

    With the opening of this Centre, it is hoped that inter-faith dialogue and engagement will be stimulated at all levels of the society, ranging from the leaders to the youths and students. Activities such as workshops and seminars will be conducted to facilitate this.

    Thus, the Harmony Centre functions as an avenue for strengthening the social bonds amongst the different faith communities in Singapore in order to build a more cohesive and resilient society which will be able to respond more rationally and maturely in the face of potential crisis.
